Born and raised in rural Idaho, Joe Human officially launched Designs By Human, Inc. in 2015 in New York City to bring his fun, playful use of pattern and neutrals into the design world. This amazing firm was recently responsible for this stylish project that takes place in a historic bank building which turned into condos. The couple who ordered the project wanted a style that could combine “clean lines and a bit of Scandinavian influence and simplicity but with a more homey and cosy feel” and that’s why Joe Human and his Team delivered!
Joe Human grew up looking up to his father as a builder and creator of simple but sophisticated abstract art pieces which led him to learn to develop his own creativity. He would take that knowledge and love of creating things home as a child and extrapolate them with Lego’s and now in the real world.

Human is known by his attention to details and a mixture of interior design elements merging with architecture, which began the slogan #detailsmatter. It’s this amazing slogan and style that he tried to include in this amazing project that features some stunning pieces.
In order to add up more details to space and the existent pieces, the designer opted to choose CIRCU’s Big Cloud Lamp and some other lighting products from DelightFULL, like the Ike Pendant, to fulfil the space. The overall look is a stunning project that perfectly fits the Scandinavian Style and the client’s Briefing!
